EU country and CE Marking
In May 2004, the European Union expanded to 25 countries representing 22 different languages.
Three additional countries (indicated with a * below), although not officially part of the European Union, comprise what is know as the European Economic Area (EEA).
Switzerland** is not an EU member nor a signatory of the EEA, but has incorporated the MDD and IVDD into their national law. All require CE marking for Medical Devices and IVD.
